Welcome, new 6th graders!
We have been busy planning our special transition day for next years 6th grade students. Please mark the date on your calendar now.
This special half day of school will be September 1st, 2009 from 7:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. All sixth graders will be picked up at their bus stops on the scheduled times (bus routs for 2009-2010 will be posted on the district website on August 17th). Walkers should arrive here by 7:40 a.m.
From past experience we have learned how valuable this morning is for our students. They seem to be on track to learn more quickly and comfortably. We also have an opportunity as a staff to get to know the students in this fund, relaxed fashion. Parents will be invited back later that day (between 3:30-7:00 p.m.) for an open house.
We look forward to meeting your 6th grader! More information will be mailed out the week of August 17th, but please mark this important day on your calendars now!
