Welcome to Math 6! Please refer to the calendar for information regarding daily classwork and assigned homework.

My class is divided into Lessons (which are almost always completed in school) and Homework, which gives students practice in that day’s lesson.

Lessons consist of questions in the text book which we complete together in class. Students record their answers on the provided sheets they keep in their binders. Sometimes they also do additional practice in a workbook which is kept in the classroom.

Homework assignments can be found on the Homework List, which students have in their binders. A copy of that list can be accessed through the link below the calendar, so you can print one to keep at home if you wish. Students almost always need their math book to complete homework. Math books assigned to students in September should remain at home to reduce wear and tear. We have a class set, and books are available in study halls.

Lessons and Homework have matching 3 digit number names. For example: if in class we did Lesson 112 (Pg 5-8 in the book, problems #13-19 answered in the binder), Homework 112 (pg. 12-13 in the book, problems #14-22, 36-39 answered on loose-leaf paper) would be assigned for that night. Assigned homework is due the following class period.

Late homework is accepted for reduced credit up to the day of the unit test. Please note that late homework is recorded only once a week (usually sometime between Friday and Sunday), so it may take several days after an assignment has been turned in for it to show up on the parent portal.

If you have questions or concerns, please e-mail or call!

                    Mustang Math
Mustang Math is intended to provide students with a year-long planned review of topics covered on the MCAII, the state of Minnesota test administered to all students in April. Mustang Math consists of practice worksheets which are introduced in Mustang Minutes on Thursdays and completed by students either in math class or at home. Papers are corrected and collected in math class the following day. Replacement sheets may be downloaded and printed from the list below if needed.

Trimester 3

BRIDGE MATH
On the calendar below, BRIDGE 7 is blue and BRIDGE 8 is red. Grey indicates that both groups did the same assignment.
