PARENT GROUP
District 622 Middle School Parent Group Meeting
Maplewood Middle School
Monday, January 25, 2010
6:30 PM in the Media Center
The guest speaker is Marcus Lowry, teen librarian at Ramsey County Library, Maplewood
Marcus will focus on information about the Libraries Homework Rescue program, a free service to all people, but he will concentrate on this program and others that are relevant to middle school students. He is very knowledgeable about both the teen homework program and the resources that are available to support students and families through the library. This homework program is open to all students, not just those living in Ramsey County. It provides in depth support for students ranging from elementary school topics through such things as Calculus and Physics. All students can benefit from this resource. He will also talk about general topics that people may wish to address about library use.
We hope you will join us.
FUNDRAISERS
Maplewood families also participate in a variety of fundraisers including:
Box Tops For Education, Campbell's Labels for Education, Target Community Giving, Recyclers USA (Recycled Ink Cartridges), and Kemps Milk Give 'Em Five.
Your participation in these programs help us to purchase supplies and equipment for our school!
